Foreclosures: Mr. Cassar comes from a background providing start-to-finish representation for mortgage lenders in foreclosure actions, concentrating on litigation.
Civil Litigation: Mr. Cassar previously represented utility companies in litigation. He contributed to an appeal that successfully overturned a $1 million verdict. Before becoming an attorney, he served as the head paralegal for a prominent New York firm in asbestos litigation.
Commercial Law: Mr. Cassar served in the compliance department of HSBC Bank and contributed to the merger between HSBC and First Niagara in Western New York.
State of New York: While in law school, Mr. Cassar assisted in preparing press conferences for Andrew Cuomo as the New York State Attorney General. He contributed time by organizing public events and raising awareness of consumer rights.
